Capturing, innovating, inspiring: Transforming the game with an industry-leading golf experience.

With the rapid growth and high expectations surrounding Golf Garage, a need arose to create a visual brand identity and strategy that matched its innovative offerings and captured the essence of the golfing experience. Our task was to develop a cohesive brand that resonated with its target audience—golf enthusiasts and families seeking a community-oriented, high-quality golfing experience at Southern Oregon’s premier indoor golf center, founded by GOLF Channel Academy Lead Coach and Top 50 US Kids Coach, Noah Horstman.

Our goal was to create a brand identity that conveyed both the technical excellence and the poetic essence of golf.

We began the project with an intensive interview process, gathering insights from both internal and external stakeholders. This helped us understand the unique value proposition of Golf Garage and its association with West Coast Golf Academy. We explored the concepts of a garage as a communal space and the poetic essence of golf, arriving at a hand-drawn variable logo system that captures both the dimensionality and architectural form of the facility, along with the organic movement and fluidity inherent in the game.

The Golf Garage color palette captures the essence of the golf sport and lifestyle by drawing inspiration from the textures of the golf course.

The Golf Garage color palette is inspired by the lush greenery of the fairway, featuring various shades of green for creative duotone applications. Warm neutrals provide a soothing balance, while the vibrant Flag orange hue creates impactful calls to action.

The Golf Garage typographic selection process embraced typefaces that echo the hand-made aesthetic of historical golf scorecards and player handwriting.

Our typography captures the nuanced gestures and emotive strokes of golf, evoking tradition and authenticity. This handcrafted narrative is mirrored in the Golf Garage logotype, creating a cohesive visual identity that bridges past and present. The textural shifts and graphic-forward design of the fonts add dynamism and engagement, honoring golf’s rich heritage while embracing modern innovation.

We strive to establish genuine connections with the businesses we collaborate with. It’s akin to fostering a friendship; it’s challenging to authentically introduce a new friend if you don’t truly understand them. Or as Noah Horstman commented,
